DCAS Summer Postal

September marked the final month of the DCAS Summer Postal League. The following scores were submitted by members of the club and as you can see from the results below the club is performing exceptionally well:

  • The Compound team lost against Brixham (965 – 1078)
  • The Longbow team won against Tors (499 – 110)
  • The Mixed ‘A’ team lost against Barnstaple (1064 – 1080)
  • The Mixed ‘B’ team won against Brixham ‘A’ (1028 – 1012)
  • The Mixed ‘C’ team lost against Brixham ‘B’ (876 – 940)
  • The Mixed ‘D’ team won against St Austell ‘B’ by walk over (564 – 0)

The final result of the competition is that our teams:

  • Won three divisions (Short Warwick Divisions B & D and Junior Short Warwick Division 2).
  • Finished in 2nd place in three divisions (Long Warwick Compound, Warwick Longbow & Short Warwick Division 1)
  • Finished in 3rd place in two divisions (Short Warwick Mixed division 3, Junior Short Warwick Division 2).

  • Long Warwick Compound Team – retained 2nd place in Division 1
  • Warwick Longbow team – retained 2nd place in Division 2
  • Short Warwick Team A – dropped to 2nd place Division 1
  • Short Warwick Team B – rose to 1st place in Division 2
  • Short Warwick Team C –  dropped to 3rd place in Division 3
  • Short Warwick Team D – retained 1st place in Division 4
  • Short Junior Warwick Team A – retained 1st place in Division 2
  • Short Junior Warwick Team B – retained 3rd place in Division 2

Jack & Neill have retained their titles as the highest scoring U16 Boys Recurve Archer (390) and highest scoring Gents Longbow Archer (275) respectively. This is even more spectacular given that Neill has only been shooting for 18 months, and Jack for less than 12 months. Well done to both archers.
