DCAS Warwick Summer Postal League Ends

During the 2023 summer season Yelverton Bowmen re-entered the summer postal competition with 8 teams taking part. Participants are required to shoot either Long Warwick (Compound only), Warwick (Longbow only), Short Warwick (mixed, but not Compound) or Short Junior Warwick (mixed, but only 1 compound) rounds over the four months between May and August. However, as with the Frostbite Postal, only one result can be entered by each competitor each month, for each relevant category (Archers are not allowed to shoot for the Long Warwick, Warwick and Short Warwick Categories in the same bow style). Rounds must be recorded on the ‘Yelverton Bowmen Warwick & DCAS Postal Score Sheet’.

The makeup of the competition means that any registered Yelverton Bowmen archer is able to take part and submit one score each month. The Records officer will then rank the entries in descending order and submit the requisite scores to the DCAS organiser within one week of the end of each month.
