Archery GB Fees

From October of this year the way AGB manage their membership fees has been completely overhauled. Previously members would pay us and we would register and pay for you on your behalf. They have now moved away from this model and you will be required to pay them directly via the Sport80 online membership system. Further information can be found on the Archery GB Website.

The above fees are not controlled by Yelverton Bowmen and are susceptible to change without notice.

Local Association Membership Fees

These much smaller fees are payable to Devon and Cornwall Archery Society and Grand Western Archery Society. They provide local and regional support functions, coaching services and arrange tournaments, and as with AGB fees are required if you wish to shoot with us.

Club Membership and Shooting Fees

This fee is for your membership to the club and shooting fees. This cost ensures the club is able to afford:

  • YMCA hall rental
  • Equipment storage charges
  • Rental of the Widewell field
  • Equipment Insurance
  • Replacement target faces
  • Maintain/replace bosses
  • Maintain/replace lighting
  • Purchase new equipment for beginners courses
  • Replacement batteries for metal detectors
  • Pay for website hosting
  • Pay for Accountancy

This fee can be paid as a one off annual fee, or in 12 equal installments paid monthly in to the club bank account, starting October 1st. The current fees are as follows

For the purposes of club fees, a Junior Member will become a Senior Member on 1st October:

  • After they finish school or college.
  • After they turn 18 if they leave full time education at 16.

If they remain in full-time education after this point they will be considered a student (see below).

Disabled Archers

Registered Disabled archers pay no Local Association Membership Fee (DCAS, GWAS) and pay £20 for Archery GB Membership, directly via Sport80.

Senior disabled shooters have the option of a more flexible shooting fee structure if you feel your disability may restrict your ability to shoot regularly.

Option 1 – On the night fees

Each session will be charged at £5, capped at £20 per month.

Option 2 – Same as everyone else

A simple option that allows disabled archers to pay the same club fee as everyone else. The only difference being the Local Association Memberships Fee which are waived, making your total yearly cost £240.

Students in Full Time Education

As students have a more limited financial means and may also be involved with university clubs and competition, they are entitled to the following discounted rates.

Remote Students in FTE (Living away in term time) £3.50 per month
or £42 one off

AGB registration can remain with us or pass to your university. In the latter case, proof of membership will be required for insurance purposes. Archery GB membership must remain with Yelverton Bowmen if you wish to sit on the committee.

HM Forces

If you are a member of His Majesty’s Forces, you are entitled to pause your membership if you are deployed away or onboard a ship for a period of time longer than 2 months. Shooting fees can be paused and then restarted when you return.

Guest Shooters

Guest shooters must provide proof of Archery GB membership and pay a flat £5 per night that they shoot.

Guests must contact a committee member in advance to confirm there will be space on the night you wish to shoot.
