2 September 2024
We are excited to announce that Yelverton Bowmen will be hosting an internal competition for our members on Sunday 15th September 2024. In case of unfavorable weather, the event will be rescheduled to the following Sunday 22nd September.
The chosen round for this competition will be the Nationals round. Participants will shoot a total of 6 dozen arrows, with 4 dozen at the longer distance and 2 dozen at the shorter distance.
Rounds will be entered according to the current 252 classification at the time of entry. For example, if you have a 40 yards 252 qualification, you can enter up to the National 50 round.
Please return the entry form to Neill White.

A great St. George’s day shoot was had by all today. Weather held up and was a great way to kick off the outdoor season. Turn out was strong and all had a good time blowing the outdoor archery cobwebs away.
Results will be collated and released throughout the week.
Thank you to Pops (John Pengilley, Records Officer) for arranging the shoot and all to that attended.
19 October 2022
On Tuesday 25th October we will be holding a SPOOKTACULAR fun shoot for Halloween.
Fancy dress is optional – as some don’t need it ;P We do remind you that if you want to shoot in fancy dress, please make sure you don’t have loose items that may catch in your bow!
This shoot will be open to all members.
We’ll also run a raffle for the evening, with all proceeds to the club.

Overview of the night
Yesterday the club held it’s first Easter themed shoot, organised by our rather eccentric Social Secretary Iain (yes he’s the rabbit). From the amount of eggs consumed, bunnies shot and smiles on faces the evening was a great success. With the prospect of a full archery setup up for grabs the competition was fierce! Although many people did just keep going for the chocolate rewards! By the end of the scored shooting everyone was on a suitably high enough sugar rush to warrant a round of balloon shooting to round off the night.
